How to Combine Multiple PCB Designs onto One SMT Stencil?

JLCPCB supports combining multiple PCB designs onto a single SMT stencil. This is a convenient option when you need to assemble several different PCB designs using the same stencil.

Two Ways to Combine Multiple PCB Designs.

1Option 1: Let JLCPCB Combine the Designs

JLCPCB can arrange multiple PCB designs on a single stencil for you.

How to Order

1. Prepare the files for all PCB designs.

   You can include the complete Gerber files or the paste layer files for all PCB designs in a single compressed folder.

2. Upload the folder when placing your SMT stencil order.
3. In the Stencil Remark, specify the number of PCB designs to be combined on one stencil.

Example remark:

"Please place 3 designs on one SMT stencil."

Engineering Fee

When JLCPCB arranges the panel, up to 2 different PCB designs are free of charge.

For more than 2 designs, an extra engineering fee of USD 4.20 applies per additional design.

2Option 2: Combine the Designs Yourself

Alternatively, you can arrange multiple PCB designs into a single panel yourself before uploading the Gerber file.

How to Order

1. Arrange the paste layers of all the PCB designs into one panel.
2. Generate the corresponding Gerber file for the combined panel.
3. Upload the Gerber file when placing your SMT stencil order.
4. In the Stencil Remark, confirm that the designs should be manufactured on one stencil.

Example remark:

"The uploaded panel contains multiple PCB designs. Please manufacture them on one SMT stencil."

When you create the panel yourself, up to 4 different PCB designs are free of charge.

For more than 4 designs, an extra engineering fee of USD 4.20 applies per additional design.

Notes Before You Order

• Make sure all required paste layers are included in the uploaded Gerber files.
• If JLCPCB arranges the designs, upload the Gerber files for all designs in one folder and clearly specify in the Stencil Remark how many PCB designs should be combined onto one stencil.
• If you create the panel yourself, make sure the spacing and arrangement of the combined panel meet your production requirements before generating the final Gerber file.
